Hope

Music is an important part of my life. Always has been. Always will be. And so, when I began penning my upcoming memoir, Beloved, I knew I would include songs that encouraged victims of any kind of trauma to never give up. The songs on this page are the songs I heard on the radio while writing or songs people texted and messaged me asking, “Have you heard this song? You should include it in your book.”

It is an eclectic list sharing the marvelous healing power of our Savior. I wanted to share this page to let you know you are loved and to tell you, you are not alone. I hope you will find a song that speaks to whatever you are going through or have been through. I do not in any way endorse any of the artists, their opinions, or their lifestyle. My goal is to share the “words” that touched my heart when listening to the songs as I wrote, exercised, and reflected through this process.

Finally, if you are in search of hope. May I tell you about my Hope. His name is Jesus. He loves you like no other. So much so, He died on Calvary to save the lost. He is waiting for you and longs to share His heart with you. Would you invite Him into your heart, today? It’s not hard.

The Bible tells us He came to give his life as a ransom for many. ( See Mark 10:45) And while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. (See Romans 5:8)

We are also told that if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (See 1 John 1:9)

Then if we will confess with our mouth the Lord Jesus, and will believe in our hearts that God has raised him from the dead, we shall be saved. (See Romans 10:9)

The last verse I want to share is…But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons (daughters) of God, even to them that believe on his name: (See John 1:12)

Next, I would encourage to grab a Bible and begin reading the wonderful promises of God. Find a church and connect with other believers. And share the good news with your friends!

In the meantime, listen and enjoy.
