Hope

Music is an important part of my life. Always has been. Always will be. And so, when I began penning my upcoming memoir, Beloved, (working title)  I knew I would include songs that encouraged victims of any kind of trauma to never give up. The songs on this page are the songs I heard on the radio while writing or songs people texted and messaged me asking, “Have you heard this song? You should include it in your book.”

It is an eclectic list sharing the marvelous healing power of our Savior. I wanted to share this page to let you know you are loved and to tell you, you are not alone. I hope you will find a song that speaks to whatever you’re going through or have been through.

I’d like to add that I do not in any way endorse any of the artists, their opinions, or their lifestyle. My goal is to share the “words” that touched my heart when listening to the songs as I wrote, exercised, and reflected through this process.

Finally, if you’re in search of hope, may I tell you about my Hope. His name is Jesus. He loves you like no other. So much so, He died on Calvary to save the lost. He is waiting for you and longs to share His heart with you. Would you invite Him into your heart, today? It’s not hard.

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God. (Romans 3:23) But there is hope! The Bible tells us He came to give his life as a ransom for many. ( See Mark 10:45) And while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. (See Romans 5:8)

We are also told that if we repent confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (See 1 John 1:9)

Repentance means to turn away from sin and self and turn toward God.

Then if we will confess with our mouth the Lord Jesus, and will believe in our hearts that God has raised him from the dead, we shall be saved. (See Romans 10:9)

The last verse I want to share is…But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons (daughters) of God, even to them that believe on his name: (See John 1:12)

Next, I would encourage to grab a Bible and begin reading the wonderful promises of God. Find a church and connect with other believers. And share the good news with your friends!

In the meantime, listen and enjoy.

  1. Thank you for sharing! Your post particularly touches my heart because helping other women find hope is a major part of my life purpose and calling. My blogsite is about a book which I am writing called “Finding Hope in the Olde Fishing Village”, a Christian novel to encourage and mentor women as they walk through and out of difficult life issues & wounded-ness to a place of wholeness through Jesus Christ. Ancient of Days is one of my favorite worship songs and have enjoyed Ron Kenoly’s worship for 25 years. Blessings to you!

I’ve nominated you for the One Lovely Blog Award.

    • Thank you for stopping by and the follow. I followed you back. I enjoyed exploring your blog and viewing your photos. Wow! Congratulations on your award. And thank you for sharing all those wonderful sites!
Yes! Ron Kenoly is one of my favorite worship leaders…Ancient of Days!!
Look forwarding to reading your posts!

      • Thank you! I in turn nominated your site for the One Lovely Blog Award also. I am so grateful through this process to have discovered lovely Christian bloggers that I was unaware of before. Thank you for exploring my blog. I look forward to following yours. My blogs are from the viewpoint of my book character, Grandma Abigail – of course she seems to be a lot like me (smile). I hope to eventually get this book completed so that it can do some good – the intent is to encourage hurting women and point them to the source of Hope. Have a lovely day. Blessings!

  2. Gail, this is excellent. Just great information! Thank you for your encouragement and your beautiful heart!!!! I love the music list and all the amazing verses. God bless, my friend💝

    • I thought you’d love the list. I hope you find a favorite. I confess I have several. The words speak to the heart. Just like your words! God bless you, my friend. ❤❤
